Advisory Panels

Science Advisory Panel (SAP)

The SAP has been formed to aid selection of suitable ClimateWatch indicator species with distributions and natural histories that are responsive to climate change and can easily be recorded by the general community.

Current members: Linda Beaumont (Macquarie University), David Cantrill (Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne), Lynda Chambers (Bureau of Meteorology), Andy Donnelly (Earthwatch), Ian Endersby (Australian Entomology Society), Lesley Hughes (Macquarie University), Sue Jenkins (Earthwatch), Marie Keatley (University of Melbourne), Andy Lowe (University of Adelaide), James O'Connor (Birds Australia), Brett Summerell (Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney), Stephen Williams (James Cook University).

Technical Advisory Panel (TAP)

The TAP has been formed to guide the development of the ClimateWatch database and internet interface systems, by developing optimal methods and tools for capturing, storing, retrieving and displaying data.

Current members: Paul Flemons (Australian Museum), Donald Hobern (CSIRO, Atlas of Living Australia), Piers Higgs (Gaia Resources), Bill Wright (Bureau of Meteorology), Lynda Chambers (Bureau of Meteorology), Russ Weakley (Max Design), Peter Houghton (Earthwatch), Andy Donnelly (Earthwatch).

Community Engagement Panel (CEP)

The CEP will determine the optimal strategy for ensuring maximum sustained public participation to promote the ClimateWatch project widely within and across key networks and through the media.
